Harada Premium Matcha Latte Review

Hello everyone! I must admit, instant drinks are not my favourite thing..especially instant latte! I'd rather save up, get my own coffee machine that comes with the steamer, coffee bean grinder and all that. BUT! I am not a coffee person as I am a matcha person.

Yep! I have to have my matcha frappe or matcha latte from Starbucks or wherever is it I'm dining. Since I've been living frugally this past few months, I decided to cut down on Starbucks and try to not order drinks when I'm outside. I usually drink plain water when I'm out unless I'm only there to drink and not eat anything. I found the perfect solution and that is the Harada Premium Matcha Latte. A pack of 15 sachets is RM 23.90 I believe. I got it from Ben's Grocery Publika. You can also get it from Aeon or isetan.

This has been my saviour! So I must share it to the world! It's not as sweet as the Starbucks matcha powder but it's definitely strong and good. I tried a few matcha powders and tried to make my own matcha latte. I frothed my own milk and everything! BUT the result wasn't that satisfying. and in order to get better matcha powder, it will cost a ton and that is not what living frugally is all about. I really want the matcha whisk set too but this works! SO for now I am happy with my Harada matcha!

I used a pack to make this smoothie bowl too! The colour itself is intense. You would have to use premium matcha powder if you want this colour payout and it's expensive to get unless you know a supplier and willing to buy in bulk. But over time you do save a lot if you are willing to spend for the powder itself.

Here's what the pack looks like!

Here are the sachets. There's a good amount of powder in there so if you want it less thick you can just use half of it or add more water. Since I am completely obsessed with matcha I will also put some links here to show you guys how much it cost if you wanna make your own authentic matcha lattes at home!

A Venti Matcha Latte/Frappucino is RM 18. For RM 24 you can get 15 sachets. If you limit yourself to one sachet per day or even every 2 days you only need to spend RM 48 or RM 24 per month. It is pretty much heaven sent in terms of budget if you ask me. I definitely want to try making a comparison once I am ready to purchase a tea ceremonial set from one of those shops. I hope you found this helpful especially if you're a matcha lover like me!

Have fun trying and have an awesome week ahead everyone!

XOXO

Diana
